In the heaviness of the news of natural disasters, violence and unrest God provides beauty as the great equalizer to bring peace.
Yet it is up to us to be grateful and present to moments. For in this present moment God dwells.
So I thank you God for pure oxygen that fills my lungs, thank you for putting elm trees next to maples so a symphony of colors would burst childlike wonder, thank you for the silence that stills not only the forest but also soothes my mind.
So take some time today wherever you are and look for things to be grateful for. For in the gratitude there is peace.
Philippians 4:8-9The Message (MSG)
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.
May the peace of God open your eyes and your heart to the good that is always here.
